Phew an exhausting day I'm completely wrecked! Gorgeous sunshine here today and really warm we went for a hike to a glen with a gaelic name sorry can't spell it near Rosehall which is about 10 miles from here. It was wonderful we walked alongside a river loads of beasties and birds and not a soul to be seen. Next time we go we will take lunch but it will have to be soon otherwise the midges will have arrived in force! Talking of the sun have you seen our cute sunhats? They are really practical with a nice wide brim and ties under the chin to help them stay on and come in several colours they coordinate with dress and bloomers and dungarees in the summer brights range.. Just the thing for the little ones at this time of year.

Since we got back I have finally planted my tatties. Why oh why can't I get nice straight rows no matter how hard I try they are always a bit wonky. Never mind it won't affect the taste! Peter has rotovated the rest of the patch and once it's had a good rake I can put some of my other veggie seeds in. We have also laid mulching sheets because last year we were overtaken with weeds and I just couldn't keep up. I can't wait to see how it all turns out. I have also started clipping the feathered houdini's wings they have a new hen house coming next week and I am determined that they are not going to get out of their run! I'll keep you informed on that one, they always seem to be one step ahead of me.

I had a call from the Press and Journal which for those that don't know is a Scottish daily newspaper. They are going to put in an article about Sones I think tomorrow. No news from Sian that baby just doesn't want to put in an appearance we are all waiting and hoping it will be soon Sian most of all I think!Well I've finally run out of steam and I'm off to have a glass of wine(well earned).
