Is it an age thing that time flys by so quickly? I can't believe that I was in Glasgow this time last week. Contrary to the weather forecast we have had a lovely warm day today. Shula went to her obedience class and did really well I was quite proud of her. We then went for a walk with Minnie as well along the foreshore at Cromarty firth a walk made in heaven for Shula as there is loads of swimming. Sian's baby still hasn't arrived. I hope something happens this weekend it's horrible waiting for the last couple of weeks isn't it? A day seems like forever.
I am planning to plant my seed potatoes tomorrow I know it's late for the south but I have learn't that up here in the north it has to be later because we can still get some prety fierce frosts even into May. I am going to be picking our first rhubarb tomorrow lovely!
I was interested to read some comments made by 'Labour behind the label' re M&S acknowledging that they have done a great deal on environmental issues and organic cottton but that it's marketing is outstripping it's commitment on labour rights. Sir Stuart Rose refused to comment on what they were paying to workers but said it was typically 30% above the minimum wage. He acknowledged that there was still work to do on this issue. Another snippet for you, apparently 9th June is National Lift Share day I'm not sure that we will be able to participate up here but we will bear it in mind and try. What do you think about Boris Johnson being the new London mayor? Do you think he'll scrap the congestion charges?
Well this is rather a short blog today but if you have anything to add do get in touch it all helps to get us talking doesn't it?
