My day off ! I seem to be living life in the fast lane lately and I'm too old for it! Late night after I got through baby sitting but at least the kids were really good. I have spent most of the day continuing with my stock sheet and price list and packing and am definitely goggle eyed. We have just got back from a very long walk, beautiful sunshine I had to carry my coat it was so warm.  I foolishly suggested a detour off the path which took us through peat bogs and mossy tussocks it was exhausting, but you know how it is when you get so far you can't face turning back I was convinced we were nearly there which proved not to be the case! Doh! I should be thin and ultra fit but I'm not why is that? Could it have anything to do with the large piece of cake and cuppa I had when we got back? It's so unfair why do I enjoy eating so much!

I was interested to see that the BBC has launched a new online ethical magazine called Thread its about ethical fashion it suggests that caring about where your clothes come from is no longer a fringe movement. I thought that was quite encouraging for all of us 'green' types.

I wondered what you thought about the 10% income tax abolition? Its been in the news a lot lately hasn't it. I personally don't agree that it should have been changed it seems to hitting the poorest people and many people will not claim tax credits. I heard an interesting theory the other day. Somebody suggested that income tax should be at a much lower level but there should not be any tax relief. You have to ask yourself who is the main beneficiary of tax relief it's the high income earners with clever accountants. It's a thought isn't it?

By way of a complete change of subject (grasshopper mind that's me!)I have been thinking about possibly stocking organic school uniforms what do you think? Would you be interested? Look foward to getting some feedback from you don't be shy just blog away!

Re: Life in the fast lane too much for an oldie!    By Linda on 30/04/2008 14:36
Hi Dottyspots
No the tables never arrived but I thought I would bore everyone to tears if I kept banging on about it. We actually had a call on Monday saying they wanted to deliver yesterday(29th) but I wouldn't have them on principal and now have to go through the no doubt tedious business of getting a refund. I feel really angry that Internet businesses should treat their customers like that and will never shop with them again. I like your idea about doing a survey because I can't afford to make mistakes when I'm ordering for the shop.

Yes, making mistakes can be really expensive! I always worry about trying out new things, not least because the minimum order can be rather expensive (for me atleast).
