Work on our house is carrying on apace but we are still in a complete muddle. Our bathroom is now finished and I have been transferring bits and pieces from all over the house. I am not feeling very eco friendly at the moment because I have been trying to be ruthless and throw out stuff that I haven't used for a long time. Consequently the bin is full of things like tubes of half used suncream that I have been hoarding. I am determined to try and declutter my house. There are some things sadly that are just not recycle friendly. I am comforting myself that a lot of these items were bought long before I started to think seriously about the toiletries and cosmetics that I use and they have probably gone off anyway.
My order has gone off for loads more jigsaw puzzles, skipping ropes, mobiles and building bricks and I am planning to have everything in the shop by next week. I am a last minute shopper at Christmas time but I have spoken to loads of people lately who have already started and some that have even finished. I'm amazed that people can be so organised I always intend to be but never quite make it.
On another subject I have been reading the Soil Association newsletter and they have some information about setting up an organic buying group in order to get the best prices which sounds like a pretty cool idea. Anyway you can find information about it here if you are interested. Another thing that you may want o do is sign a petition organised by the Soil Association to lobby the Goverment to ban neonicotinoids which are harmful to bees. You can sign up here.
Anyway I think thats quite enough from me I am going back to clearing out junk, back soon.
